Pour Some Sugar On Me

So i bought a some new toys the other day one of which was the Orbis ring flash attachment.
Since i had no one around to try it on i shot a few self portraits along with a borrowed fish eye lens.
First impressions i fucking love this thing i think it will be a great addition as some on axis fill light, although for these self portraits i used it as key light with just a little ambient coming from the window behind me.

So as is normally the case its Sunday night im awake at 2am and bored as shit, so i thought i would try out the ring light damo lent me and try my hand at some self portraits.

I fucking love the ring light look and so have just ordered myself one! its a little different than this one but should give slightly better results and be much easier to work with.

These are the only self portraits i have ever been somewhat happy with.

All shots lit with only the ring light as key, no fill light.

Under The Bridge

7 min exposure

Spent Saturday night in Sydney with some friends and just basically shot the Bridge, Ive only shot it once or twice before which is pretty lame considering its only just over an hour away so i think i should head back down again soon to try and get some "different" shots.

 Although i did manage to get these 2 "artsy" shots i quite like both handheld 10 second exposures

Katy Perry

Katy Perry last night at the Entertainment center was AMAZING! i took my trusty new X100 along to grab some snaps from my seat.

Shot the whole thing at ISO 1600 coz i had read it works really well up in the high ranges and i was not dissapointed with its performance (the camera has a non interchangeable 23mm lens with no zoom, which is why the shots are from so far back)
