The Boy On The Beach

So this is the original image i went down to the beach to shoot and i was really only using digital to get a feel for the exposure as i shot very similar images on 2 different Medium Format Cameras, so being that i have the unedited photos on film i decided to play with some "grunge" editing with the paint spatter and "old school/aged" colour

Ladies And Gentlemen, This Is Karen quite possible the best piece of film making since well ever!

My two good friends Thomas Stockwell and Alex Mattila put this together sometime last week and i have to say im a big fan.

On the same day i tool the photos of Matil with the dog i also managed to convince Brenton and Kiera to pose for a quick shot for me (trust me it took some convincing)

Technically you could argue i stole the shot from my good mate Jim Trice and you would be correct to a point, i really just wanted to see if i could look at an image and copy it, i think i did ok and added some "grunge" to it by adding the paint. Hope you dont mind mate.

Matil Loves Sausage!

While we were shooting a family walking a dog passed by, we asked if we could "borrow" it for a few shots, This was the result. 

Probably overdid the use of "staining" on this but its not bad.

The blow out

This was my first test shot from an impromptu beach shoot i did on the weekend, amped up the contrast, pumped in some more black and made it square, i kinda like it as something different.
